Move, Nourish, Believe

Confession: I’ve never been one for group challenges.

You don’t have to spend a long time on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to discover some sort of challenge going on in the fitness/nutrition world.

But don’t get me wrong – I love them! They’re inspirational, full of community, and always have great prizes associated with them. I want to be one for group challenges!

I’ve just always been more a workout loner. I think it’s because I always compare myself to other people and bring myself down if I’m not at the same level as those around me. On the other hand, it’s great motivation and it can be so much fun to meet other like-minded women.

Besides, comparison is the thief of joy and I’m over the comparisons. I’m right where I need to be.

So this week, I decided to jump in to the Move, Nourish, Believe Challenge by Lorna Jane and Fit Approach. It was 6pm Monday evening after a super busy day and honestly, I was ready to throw in the towel before I even began. Typical Monday.

I am SO glad I decided it was going to be different this time and follow through. I’m really enjoying this challenge and I’m getting totally inspired.

Lorna Jane is a women’s activewear line. Their mission is to inspire women to live their best life through active living. The winner of the entire challenge wins a $1000 shopping spree – amazing!

The first week’s theme is to: MOVE:

Day 1: My favorite way to SWEAT it out is to do a mixture of HIIT/Weight Training/Running. I love sprinting, love the feeling of accomplishment in a short time, and love lifting heavy weights.

Day 2: I changed it up! I chose a 10-minute core workout from the ‘Move’ section of Move, Nourish, Believe. I really felt it!

Day 3: Planks for 5 minutes. This.is.tough. I split it up throughout the day, but got it done.

Day 4: Workout with a buddy: My best friend/cuddle bug/workout partner is my dog, Noodle. Whenever I get down on the floor to workout, she HAS to be there. She’s the best workout buddy.
